Sub Zero is a heavy yielding 50/50 hybrid. It exhibits 2x stretch in flower, this strain maintains medium vertical growth with pronounced lateral expansion, allowing it to fill out its footprint without becoming unmanageable. The canopy remains moderately dense, and thanks to its very sturdy branching, Sub Zero supports its bud development exceptionally well throughout the cycle. In flower, Sub Zero produces 4+ nodal top colas with a tight braided disconnect, supported by well-developed secondary sites. The buds display a medium leaf-to-calyx ratio, and very high trichome production completely encasing the buds in a mat of silvery trichomes. With medium feeding and watering requirements and moderate pruning needs, this cultivar responds well to structured canopy management, rewarding growers who maintain even spacing and airflow. What makes Sub Zero an intermediate strain is, in early veg it is prone to over-watering and over-fertilization it can be easily “locked out”. It likes more solid dry backs in early veg overall, but once good and established it is a very easy strain to flower out. With dependable structure, strong resin production, and a manageable growth pattern, Sub Zero performs well indoors and in light-deprivation settings, making it a solid choice for growers seeking quality and consistency without excessive maintenance demands. This strain will do well in any style of grow.
Dry Flower: As a finished product, Sub Zero stands out for its attractive green coloration accented by silver hues and a healthy layer of resin. Buds typically size up to around half dollar, with a moderately dense structure and heavy trichome coverage. The flower is greasy and sandy to the touch indicating strong resin production. Aromatically, Sub Zero offers a layered nose combining savory earthy undertones with bright citrus notes of orange and lemon, creating a balanced and inviting terpene profile.
