Scissor Queen

Scissor Queen is an easy-to-grow cultivar that combines excellent resin production, strong visual appeal, and straightforward maintenance. Exhibiting approximately a 2x stretch in flower, this short, squat plant demonstrates low vertical growth with moderate lateral expansion, forming an open, low-density canopy. Branch sturdiness is minimal, but the plant's compact stature makes it easy to add in extra support. In flower, Scissor Queen produces 3–5 nodal top colas with an abundance of 2–4 nodal secondary colas developing beneath them. The buds feature a low leaf-to-calyx ratio with dense, spear-shaped flowers and a deep purple coloration under optimal environmental conditions.

Scissor Queen is a medium feeder and drinker throughout the cycle and requires relatively low maintenance. Bottoming needs are minimal, while light defoliation is recommended to improve airflow and light penetration through the canopy. The cultivar consistently develops exceptional trichome coverage. Finishing in approximately 9 weeks, Scissor Queen is a dependable cultivar that will perform well across a variety of cultivation styles.

 

Dry Flower:

In dry flower, Scissor Queen displays attractive purple hues with buds ranging from quarter-sized to half-dollar-sized. Despite their substantial weight, the flowers have a slightly softer, squishier texture while maintaining excellent structure. Trichome production is high, leaving the buds with a sandy, resin-rich feel. The nose is layered and complex, combining sharp gas, garlic, and cheese notes with bright sour citrus, and subtle pine. Overall, the nose is lightly sour with a balanced mix of savory and fruity characteristics, creating a distinctive profile that stands out both in the jar and after breakdown.
