Headlights is a 50/50 hybrid that is a vigorous, moderately dense cultivar that develops large, half-dollar-sized buds with a low leaf-to-calyx ratio and visibly re-stacked calyxes. The flowers showcase light purple hues, prominent pistils, and heavy trichome coverage that forms distinctive “trichome tacos.” Its structure features a strong 3–5 nodal top cola, complemented by numerous 2–4 nodal mini-colas beneath. In flower, Headlights doubles in size, showing moderate vertical growth paired with significant lateral growth. The result is an exceptionally dense inner canopy that demands careful management. This cultivar is not naturally sturdy, with floppy branches that require heavy support to carry the weight of its production throughout the bulking phases. Growers should anticipate frequent bottoming, defanning, and defoliation to keep airflow and light penetration open throughout the mid-canopy. Headlights is a moderate feeder with steady nutrient uptake, thriving best in hands-on systems where attentive pruning and training are part of the process. While it may challenge less experienced cultivators, intermediate growers will find it a rewarding plant that delivers both unique visual appeal and solid performance when given the proper care and structure.
