Gruntz

Gruntz is a high-yielding, Indica-dominant strain that has a unique aroma of savory meats and candied ginger. During flowering, it typically doubles in size while exhibiting moderate vertical and lateral growth. The plant forms a 4–5 nodal top cola, with a distinctively spaced lower cola structure that gives the appearance of braiding. Buds are dense and about the size of a half dollar, featuring a low leaf-to-calyx ratio and heavy trichome coverage that extends even to the fan leaves. Purple hues are present throughout the flower, adding to its visual appeal. The canopy is dense yet maintains an open branch structure, making pruning and defoliation easy and efficient. Gruntz is a sturdy cultivar that generally does not require significant structural support. This strain is best suited for intermediate growers. While it has moderate nutrient and watering needs, it is sensitive to overwatering and benefits greatly from proper dryback periods in the medium. With the right techniques, Gruntz performs well in a variety of growing environments.
