Kaprikorn's Description:

We’re excited to be carrying this amazing breeder’s cut from the Humboldt Seed Co. This strain was trialed by Kaprikorn customers indoors in 2020. They let us know we had to carry her based on her yields, THC scores and ease of growing. Prior to being released she was trialed with the names, “Cream of the Crop” and “Vanilla OG,” but Frosted HOG took the cake.

The following description is thanks to one of the amazing growers at Professor Toad!

Frosted HOG is an extremely tolerant and easy plant to grow, which can help produce more rewarding yields. This strain grows like your typical OG, vertically rather than outwards. You won’t find that this strain has a large amount of stretch, just a moderate stretch. It won’t form a bunch of internodal side shoots, which makes trimming faster and easier. It is a very hardy plant with strong stems and incredibly dense, frosty nugs.

The buds on this strain are small-medium in size, but they are extremely dense and numerous throughout the plant. The buds are encrusted in frost that is mostly a light green and bluish hue. You’ll find a very beautiful light purpling on the inside when you break open the nugs.

The colas are formed by medium sized buds that are about 2.5-3 inches large and are followed by short, internodal spurts of 1.5-2 inch sized nugs. The lower growth has equally dense buds. One of our customers said these might be the densest nugs he’s ever grown out of any of the strains we carry and that the buds feel like rocks when you squeeze them.

To sum it up, this strain is easy to grow and highly resilient in indoor conditions. It has strong stems and vigorous growth from day one. Trim up is easy and deleafing is easy as well. Nugs may appear on the smaller side, however the density and the smaller internodal growth spacing make for an exceptional yield. Due to the density, the buds also do not shrink as much as they dry. Once dried you will be rewarded with 2” consistent nugs that are easy to trim and easy to cure. The smell is unique and familiar, and bodes well to the OG lineage with a new twist.
